Hey everybody. This is James Bullis with the MVP radio show. I’m so glad he came back to listen to the next episode. In today’s episode, we are going to be starting a new series. It’s based around a formula that was taught to me by my first mentor called the four aces. These next episodes are going to be based on a talk that I’ve been giving at conferences called how to deal yourself.

Oh, winning hand. The MVP radio shows designed to help today’s entrepreneurs make a bigger impact online. I’m taking my 20 years of experience in the industry and teaching you everything I know. My goal is to help you make sense of the millions of options that are out there for getting your business online. It can be overwhelming, but through these episodes, I want to take you step by step to getting found online and making a bigger impact. Now let’s get to today’s episode. All right, so to start this series, what I want to do is I want to talk about do hips still matter I get that question a lot. You know, a lot of people think that because you can just go and set up a page on Facebook or you can go and you know, set up a little Weebly site or whatever. People are just wondering if websites still matter.

In fact, if you are in internet marketing, you probably know about Russell Brunson and click funnels and he’s been putting out a campaign that say, hey, your website’s costing you money. You know, websites are dead. Because what he’s trying to do is he’s trying to promote funnels and that’s all fine and good, but the reality is is that your website is still a foundational piece of your entire online strategy. The thing you have to know is that you can’t rely on one single thing for your entire online strategy because it takes assemble change to one little algorithm on one platform and you’ll see all of your traffic and business go by. By last year, Facebook started having problems with their privacy issues and they made major changes to their algorithm that saw entire businesses that were only built on Facebook go down the drains. There were businesses that had a huge following on Facebook that went completely bankrupt because their entire model was based on their ability to be on Facebook.

So I’m a web designer by trade and I’ve been building websites for 20 years now and I’ve been doing it professionally for the last 10 years. And in that time I’ve built over a thousand websites and um, I’ve been using the exact formula that I’m going to be teaching you in the next few episodes. So you might be wondering why websites still matter. Well, I believe that your website is the HQ for Your Business Online. It is the foundation of your entire online presence. And the great thing about your website is that it was stands. All these algorithm changes when you’re on other platforms, you’re basically renting space on those platforms and your success depends on their ability to grant you that success. With your website, you have almost all the control on that one platform. Your website represents your business online and you don’t want it to just be a brochure site out there about your business.

You want to actually be a machine. What your website does is it makes you available to the entire world 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year as long as you’re paying for your hosting. Now, another big reason that I believe websites still matter is that your website supports business growth. Websites will allow you to support your sales outreach. Anytime that you’re getting out there and making a name for yourself online, people can come back to your website and they can see supporting evidence that you are legit and that your credibility is sound. Your website can help support monetization. When I’m choosing a new lawn care provider, I want to make sure that I can submit payments online because if I’ve got us give them cash or a check, that’s super inconvenient, but if I can go make a payment online, that’s a big winner for me.

And so if you have a website that can take payments, that’s going to make you stand out apart from your competition. Your website also supports customer support. If you have people that are answering the same questions over and over and over again, chances are the people who are asking the questions are looking for those answers on your website so you can reduce the amount of calls and angry customers just by putting up those answers to those questions on your website and the most important factor is your website shares your why with the world. It shares your story and people know why they should do business with you and for all you business people out there. Your website also helps you build digital assets. When you’re running a business. As a business owner, your goal is to build something that you can sell and in order to increase the value of your business, you need to have assets.

There can be proprietary intellectual assets, there can be physical assets, but there’s a new frontier out there of digital assets. I’ve seen people sell their business and increase the evaluation of their business simply because they had these digital assets. One of those is your email list. An email list is a list of people who have opted in in order to freely get information from me via email. And the bigger your list, the bigger your reach and the quicker you can make money online. So if your business has a huge email list and makes you look more valuable to buyers of your business, another digital asset that you can be putting together is pixel traffic h platform that’s out there allows you to track traffic as they come through your website and what that does is allows you to then direct ads to that traffic on their platform.

For instance, if somebody is logged into Facebook and they come to your website, Facebook knows that they were on your website. What it does is allows you to direct advertisements on Facebook directly to them. He ever been on a website and looked at a pair of shoes, and when you get on Facebook, it’s like those shoes are falling you around everywhere. That is what the strategy is and what you ought to be doing. If you have a website, you should have these pixels installed on your website. You can get pixels from Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram is the same one as Facebook, linkedin, Twitter, all of them have these pixels and you can then go and send ads to those people. You can even get a pixel for Google ad words so that you can direct ads directly to people who have already been on your website.

The reason why that’s important is because when people come to your website, well, think about yourself. When you go to a website, you’re really looking for an answer and then all of a sudden you get distracted and you go away. What the Pixel traffic allows you to do is allows people to invite you back to the website so you can go back to what you were doing and and eventually do business with that company. Another digital asset is messenger contacts. If you aren’t using Facebook messenger bots, you could be losing out on a huge potential digital asset. You can set up a messenger Bot so that when people come to your page on Facebook, they can interact with you. Well, the cool thing about that is if you set it up correctly, you can have those people stored on a list that you can then send broadcasts out to, so that’s another digital asset that you can get through your website.

You can install that messenger directly on your website and drive people into that Chat Bot so that you can then send broadcast to them later on. And then another digital asset is SMS contacts. There are a lot of people out there that may not have email addresses, but almost everybody has a phone number that can accept text messages. So there’s a, there’s a huge need to be able to track people’s mobile phone numbers so that you can send out messages to them through text message. The number one purpose for your website when it comes to your online strategy is to build traffic and create conversions. And you can do that with this formula that we’re going to go over in the next few episodes. The formula is called the four aces and it’s simply attract visitors, capture leads, educate your prospects so that you can sell your products and services.

Over the next few episodes, we’re going to tackle each of those areas so that you can get a great understanding on how your website fits in to your online presence. In the next episode, we’re going to go dive directly into attracting more visitors and that it’s a two part thing.
